John Malley dob abt 1800, France

Hi,

My name is Rick Malley. I have been doing some research on my family tree, particularly about John Malley ca. 1800.
All information that I have indicates that my 4th Great Grandfather, John
Malley, immigrated from France to North America, and eventually settled in
South Mississippi/Louisiana. Also, it has been rumored, though
unsubstantiated, that the spelling of his name before coming to the US was
Mallet, Mallett, or Mallette.. I'm not sure about either of those
spellings, however in order to preserve the pronunciation, the spelling was
changed to Malley.
If you have any information about a John (Jeanne ?? )
Malley/Mallet/Mallette/Mallett who left France to go to the United States
in the late 1700's or early 1800's, I would enjoy emailing you with more
information about the "American" side of the family..
Thanks in advance,
Rick

You can view the information I have about John Malley and his decendants at www.familytreemaker.com/users/m/a/l/Rick-Malley/index.html . Look it over and see if this sheds any light on what you are looking for and if you can provide any additional information, please let me know..
