I'm researching this Brown line in Connecticut and Rhode Island. William J. BROWN Jr. [b. Abt. 1836 CT] married Bridget R. McDONALD on 1 Mar 1861 in Putnam, Windham, CT. [Bridget born May 1842 County Cork, Ireland.] William died in the Civil War and was survived by his wife and their son, Jeremiah Rathbun BROWN, born 16 Mar 1862 in Putnam. Bridget and Jeremiah moved to Providence, RI where she married 2nd Michael MALLOY, a widower with four children.
