Sorry, no connection that I know of. I've found quite a bit farther back on Isabel (Taylor), wife of James--her mother's family were Stories & Turnbulls from the Scots borderlands. Her brother sent train fare to join him in Illinois, she took the kids--May, Charles, Blanchard, Clarence & Helen--and moved to Chicago.
Eventually she, Blanchard & Clarence became homesteaders near Yellowstone Nt'l Park in Wyoming, Charles became a farmer at Paw Paw, Michigan, and Helen moved to Angola, Indiana.
