MALLOY MULLOY, COUNTY MAYO >>SCRANTON & CLEVELAND 1883
Posted by: Kat (ID *****8091) Date: April 09, 2007 at 10:58:14

Does anyone have connections to, or information on, the following family?

MICHAEL MULLOY/MALLOY married JUDITH/JULIA CURREGAN/CORRIGAN both born ca. 1843 in the Westport or Newport area of Co Mayo, possibly Achill, Rosturk or Bunnahowna.

JULIA HAD A BROTHER JOHN CORRIGAN, their Mother's name may have been ROSE CORRIGAN.

Their Children, all born in Rosturk Co. Mayo, are:

JOHN MULLOY b. 1863 (Married CATHERINE FRENCH in Scranton, PA.1891)
MICHAEL MULLOY b. 1864 (Arrived Boston 1883, no info. thereafter)
PATRICK MULLOY 1869 (Did not emigrate with them, presumed deceased by 1900)
ROSE MULLOY 1870 (Married PATRICK GOONAN in Scranton PA)
JAMES MULLOY 1873 (Residing on Marvine St., Scranton PA 1900, unmarried, whereabouts unknown thereafter)

I do not know what happened to MICHAEL & JULIA MALLOY and son JAMES MALLOY after 1900 census when they lived on Marvine St in Scranton, PA. Other relatives went to Cleveland, Ohio and various other cities late 1800's - early 1900's.
I'm trying to determine to which Mulloy and Corrigan families in Rosturk they belonged and whether relatives still reside in the area. I'm interested in anything you have!
Thanks!
Kat
