I also contributed a great deal of information on Randy's book.I am listed on his appreciation page.I am sure if you will note on his preface page 2, he more or less says that genealogy is endless, with new information and new sources always on the horizon (computerization of records, and ability of researchers to communicate on a minute by minute basis by e-mail giving their own areas of expertise, records, etc.)He printed the book in 1986 "with trepidation and with the recognition that it was premature and error prone"and did recognize, in 1995, that this ongoing information changed with daily mails and e-mails.The book had to stop somewhere. It is our duty to continue his work...and communicate to others in a kind, thoughtful way and thank him for all the wonderful sources he has opened for us to do our own research particular to our own Malone lineages.
As a researcher, I am constantly having to remind myself that genealogy, like life, is a learning process and you have got to stop often and look at the direction you are going.
