My children's grandmother was from Campobasso. I think it is north of Naples. She lived in Denver, Colorado. She came over from there at the age of seven.
She died at the age of 66 in 1967. She married John Romano from the same area. Their marriage was arranged. Her name was Mary Mancini. They lived in Lafayette, Colorado where John worked in the mines for a while then went on to learn the trade of shoemaker. Mary was a wonderful cook and had a wonderful garden.
