Guiseppe Mancini came from Naples with my Ancestors GGFather who settlet in Manchester, England. In a town that became known as Little Italy Ancoats they have an dedicated web site.
I have been looking into my family history and would like to share
>information and also would appreciate and information that can piece
>some of the blanks that I have not been able to find?
>Mancini Family came from Italy around 1880-1890 my great grandmother
>suggested Naples, however this has not been confirmed. They settled
>Ancoats and lived in Jersey Street, there surname on the 1901 Censor
>shown as Mancini, however when Angelo (middle son) married Ellen
>marrage certificate shows Angelo's sername as Mangini. My great uncle
>(Mary's son) suggests they were quiet alliterate in those days so
>is some confusion about my ancestors surname. I have checked for the
>surname Angelo Mangini in manchester and only a mancini family is
>registered. Also Angelo's headstone shows his surname as being
>he died aged 31yrs not sure of the cause of his death, it is believed
>that angelo was buried from the cheetham workhouse.
>Censor information 1901
>Angelo Mancini Seniour (Icecream Vendor)
>Guiseppe Mancini (Eldest son) Street musician
>Angelo Mancini (middle Son) born in Italy 1885-1916 Street musician
>Antonio Mancini (Youngest Son) only son born in England.
>Angelo Junior married Ellen Sands in 1908 and a daughter Mary (my
>great grandmother), it is believed that angelo and Ellen had a
>called Winifred and died very young.
>I believe there are still familys relating to the above family are
>still living in Manchester, if any of the above information means
>anything to anyone I would love to here from you.
