ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Anna Belle Hazzard, 73, of St. Johnsville, died suddenly on Friday at her home.
Born in Dutchtown in the town of Minden, 1944 graduate of Fort Plain High School.
After retiring from the family farm in 1973, she was employed as a nurse's aide at the Palatine Nursing Home and later at Little Falls Hospital until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, George O. Hazzard Sr.; three daughters, Diane L. Beyer of Virginia Beach, Va., Rose M. Merkel of McHenry, Ill., and Priscilla H. Swartz of St. Johnsville; a son, George O. Hazzard Jr. of Canajoharie; two brothers, David Mang of Fort Plain and George Mang of Nelliston; two sisters, Catherine Blencoe of Fort Plain and Mary Edmunds of Little Falls; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Burial will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
