MANICOM Surname Variations from 1610
In doing my research, I've discovered several variations on the MANICOM surname, so far stemming from the 1600s in Clyst Honiton Devon England. In the very same family, each person's christening or wedding had different spellings of the name!
They ranged from MANATON to MANNETON to MANITON to MANNEKOM to MANISCOMBE to MANSCOMBE to MANICAM to MANNIECOMB to MANICOM
I was able to find several MANATONs in the mid 1500s in Ugborough Devon but haven't yet made any connections to the Clyst Honiton ones.

I even found a christening for a Geoffrey MANEKIN in the 1200s!! I found a father and son who were Exeter 'freemen' in the 1400s so this is obviously a family that has been around for hundreds of years!
