Louis Maniere/Manierre is my ggggrandfather. I have information on his family verified from viewing the original records at New London, CT City Hall and Church records of their baptisms. He had several children my gggrandfather also being a Louis. Not until the next generation did the last name start to change to Maniere and finally to Manier.
