Hi Vivan, It could very well be a spelling problem. I have beem researching my husband lineage. We have ran into the problem alot. My friend corrected my spelling I had it wrong.Do you know where in Poland your family came from. MY gr grandmother was from Glecia Poland a small villege called Jata.My grandparents settled in the Haverhill Mass. I really don't have too much information on them. Only thier marrriage license and The papers they recevied at Illis Island.The problem with the spelling of the names is that the priest and the other people writing down names wrote them the way it sounded and not alway right.Where did your family come from in Poland? Diane
