Two Patrick Manley's
Posted by: Mary Lou Reed (ID *****7798) Date: March 26, 2012 at 15:25:58
  of 2252

There are two Patrick Manley's who seem to come to Galena, Jo Davis County, Ill. from Fermanagh County in Ireland. one came before 1850 and is in the 1850 and 1860 federal census, with children James, Margaret and Michael. And wife Mary. Michael Manley is my ggrandfather, he is Amelia Manley Kelling's father. See the post by Mike Emry, it shows all of his children. I have a picture of Michael Manley and his wife Emily's tombstone in the St Michael's Cemetry in Galena Ill. The other Patrick Manley and his wife and children James Smith and Mary Ellen came in 1856. The first Patrick Manley was born about 1805 in Ireland, the second Patrick Manley between 1830 and 1835. James Leroy Manley is supposed to be the descendant of the second Patrick Manley.
