You quite probably already have this info since your posting has been up since 2003, but I thought I'd give you answer anyway since I don't see any follow ups listed for your question about the immigration of J. Matthias Manner. At the Treasures of the Past site they have immigration info to Indiana County, PA. It lists Mathias Mannor as having arrived in Indiana Co., PA 23 Sep 1839 and the record is dated Sept. 1841 with Francis Gompers & William Gompers vouching for Mathias. I don't have the ancestry.com membership that allows me to go to the ships lists, but I think they list Matthias Manner coming in through the port of Baltimore. I descend through Matthias & Regina Jane's daughter, Catharine B. Manner who married Abram Y. Lowman. Hope this info helps & I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Betsy
