Thanks for posting, David! I've sent you an e-mail as well, but have one or two other thoughts. I, too, would like to see Eunice's will and the article you mention from about 1906. It sounds like she had a very difficult life.

Another thing that has been perplexing us - the Trenton City Directory of 1882 shows a George W. Manners living at the same address as James S. Manners (27 Clark in Chambersburg). Perhaps this is a different James S. Manners, as I've seen no other reference to a George W. Manners. Seems like quite a coincidence.

Then there is the mysterious Henry Manners line of Delaware Township...

Perhaps you could fill us in (privately, if you like) on your own descent from James Harrison Manners.
