I expect you already have this information but when I was on the internet I logged into Family search The Latter day all saints church. I went into All Resources, Burials and came up with Joseph John Manners Born 1.11.1841 @ Littleton Durham. M Eleanor Mary Foster in 1866 London. He died 14.4.1895 at Belford Northumberland. Also son J.J.Manners born Windsor 1867 Died 1959 at Aldershot Hants. He was married to Alice Flora Langley they had William John b.1900, Ernest Walter b. 1903 Eleanor Mary b. 1905 and Frederick David b. 1909. William John married, Mabel Violet Whitmarsh 1925, Ernest Walter married Emily Clara Beadle. Joseph John (born 1841) according to burial records parents were Joseph Manners and Margaret Holmes. On the Durham 1881 census Margaret was a widow but her father in law was 85yrs and his name was also Joseph. BUT there was a Joseph listed as being in the household aged 38years! It may have been an error on his mothers part, she could have put him on the form by mistake. Please excuse if you already have this info Pam.By the way I would be interested in how you get on as I am also doing or trying to do the Manners family as well. cannnot get past my g.grandfather who was Ernest Charles Manners!
