I recently found a tree of a Robert Manners on Rootsweb that matches your Dorothy Carol Hartman Manners.
1 LOUISA RENSHAW STEVENS
+ BURRIS HARTMAN
2 WILLIAM HARTMAN b: 1849 d: 1923
+ PATIENCE CAFFERTY KENNEDY b: 1852 d: 1924
3 HARRY W. HARTMAN
+ CAROLINE O'DANIELS b: 1890
4 DOROTHY CAROL HARTMAN
+ Living MANNERS

If this is your Dorothy we might be related through my Stevens line. He has Louisa Stevens and Burris Hartman, and lists my known 3rd great grandparents John L. and Phoebe Chambers Stevens as her parents. I have Bible records for them that says Louisa married a Burrows Sturtman...but now that I have found this tree and your post I think it may have been recorded wrong in the Bible...if you sound them out they sound very much alike. If you think we have a connection here please contact me.- Cheryl
