hi karen. haven't heard from you in awhile.
it's my understanding that the manners clan that i am part of did not begin the move to "indian territory" (now oklahoma) until late 1904 (my ggrandparents were married in smith county in february 1904 & their daughter was born in durant in december 1904). the migration ended about 1907. some stories say the move began because one of the men got into trouble (killed a man?). regardless, some of the manners men worked for the railroad & durant was the end of the line at the time.

michael manners died in smith county TN on 3 april 1866.
lucinda white manners died on 20 april 1881, presumably in smith county TN, but i haven't verified that yet.

hope this helps.
the dates & michael's place of death are noted in the packet of info from his pension applications found at NARA.
