You're probably right. Too much of a coincedence for all of them to live so close together. I'm trying to go through the 1840 Smith county census but it isn't indexed yet so it's pretty slow work. There was a Mitchell Manners on the 1830 census with Males 1 0/5, 1 5/10, 2 10/15, 1 15/20, 1 40/50. Females 1 5/10, 1 10/15, 1 20/30. Does Mitchell sound familiar to you?
Do you think you could send me copies of Michaels pension by snail mail? I'll of course pay you for postage.
