Lord Robert Manner’s second child, his son and heir, was General Sir Robert Manners (1758–1823) who certainly had a “marriage” of sorts (whether it be common-law, legal, illegal or morganatic!) to Mary Ann Goodchild (1780–1854) (also known as Mansel) with whom he had 6 children; two of whom died in infancy.

Some descendants of this union now live in New Zealand and go by the name Mansel.

Lord Robert Manner’s remaining children were:
John James Manners (1762–1763), who died in infancy George Manners (1763–1828), of Bloxholm and Ufford Hall, unmarried Lucy Manners (1764–1835), unmarried
