Hi Bob

My Robert Manners was a Captain, who served King George 3, he lived in Brussels and died in 1787. I think he could be Robert born in 1740. You said that he was dead as a child, but have you found his death record ?

There are several members of the family, who have lived in Brussels, can I see from the archive in Belgium

This is why I think he must be in family with the Dukes of Rutland, and the best guess, is that he is son of William Manners and Corbetta Smythe.
