Allen Manners was my ggggrandfather. Children included James 1850, Monroe 1851, Minerva 1852, Rufus 1858. Allen died in Stewart county in 1909. Most of the Manners clan moved to Stewart after the 1900 census was done.
I think Allen's father was Michael Manners. Mainly because Nancy Manners co-signed Michael's pension papers and due to the fact that they lived close together in Smith County.
