How sure are you that John Manners (b. 1760; m. Sarah/Sally Couch) was from Ireland? Is there documentation for that? A cousin tells me he was likely from the Isle of Jersey, but I don't know what is her evidence for that, either. I've also seen it written by someone that he was born in PA. I'd really like to know where he was from, with certainty, since he's my dead-end in my study of my Manners line.
