Not sure if there is a direct connection but I also have verbal family history of 'Duke of Rutland' heritage, our connection is via Anne Manners b.May 1827 d. Sep 1893 there is also evidence of a Mary of whom I have no other details currently but who may be a sister, both married into the May family - having only just started researching I have been unable to ascertain parentage/siblings for definite, but its nice to meet you anyway
