THE BILL OF COMPLAINT OF WILLIAM MANSELL OF JACKSON CO. TN AGAINST [unreadable because of paper fold. -bp]
No date.
...about the 9th day of Feb 1841, he purchased of a certain Samuel Mansell two certain tracts of land lying in said county of Jackson ... your orator afterwards moved to the State of South Carolina and left said tracts of land in possession of said Samuel as tenant.
Alright, in reviewing this I know Martin B Mansell is the son of Samuel Mansell and Rebecca he was born in Jackson Co., TN about 1811...Burell Mansell is also the son of Samuel and Rebecca he was born 1814 Jackson Co., TN...David Mansell is the son of Richard Mansell and Elizabeth Moberley, he was born 1807...Benjamin Mansell who appears to have been born about 1790...I don't know who this is any help is greatly appreciated...Samuel Mansell age 56 is obviously Samuel Mansell who married Rebecca and is the son of Richard Mansell and Elizabeth Moberley. So Samuel and William and David are all brothers, could Benjamin also be a brother? My line goes with Samuel and Rebecca and their daughter Elizabeth Mansell who was born 1812 in Jackson Co., TN she married Samuel Davidson in 1835 in Jackson Co., TN.
Any information on Samuel and Rebecca is needed, I know Rebecca (what is her maiden name for sure?), is buried in Johnson County Missouri in the Bethel Cemetery (along withher daughter's in-laws).I have no idea where Samuel Mansell is buried or where he went after Rebecca died in 1860, in the 1860 census Samuel was living with his son and family. Please email me [email protected] or [email protected] you in advance for any and all help.
