My grandfather, Bartolo Mantia, was born in Termini, Italy on February 19th, 1873. Immigrated to the U.S. from Palermo, Italy.
Married to Rosina LoPresti. Arrived in New York on June 5th, 1895. This info is from his Declaration of Intention papers.
He had 12 children all born in the states.
The papers do not have a middle name on them and there are only 2 children surviving, but one of the boys was named James Vincent and one of the girls is Cosima.
They all resided in the St. Louis area. Sorry at this time I really don't know anything about my great-grandparents but I can keep digging. Sounds like something mathes up here.
