I have in my possession a handwritten page that my
great grandfather, Rev.Robert H. Long wrote about
our family ties and history of the Maples family.It
was before 1897, as that is when Thomas Maples Jr (11)
died. Rev.Robert's father was Maples P.Long, named after
his mother, 'Nancy Elizabeth 'Maples' Long.
Rev.Robert's grandmother was a 'Maples' and his daughter
married a 'Maples' family member. I would be happy to share it w/anyone that is interested. The information was given to him personaly by Thomas Maples Jr, the son of Thomas Maples 1 and Lydia 'Atchley' Maples. Samuel Maples was my great grandfather's son-in-law, he married Cynthia
Long.They lived w/him for awhile, until his death in
Afton, Oklahoma. The page was just discovered in May, it
had been stored away in a box that was in possession of
my 95 year old cousin in Missouri.
