Please be sure to personally verify the following info with your research. I am new to this and have a long way to go.
The name you may be looking for is William Maples, who moved to TN, and may have died around 1800. His son Wilson married Sarah Rolen in SC. Wilson was a Captain in the War of 1812, and may have been discharged after two months due to wounds sustained in the war.
