Udpating email address and Marchal genelogy. Also, looking for information on how to obtain vital & military records from France. Any advice is much appreciated.

Following is the information on the Marchal line that we
are researching:

Edmond (Edmund) Marchal was born March 30, 1879 in France, possibly Strasbourg. He was a pattern maker by trade. He served in WWI in France, as an ambulance driver.

He married Jenne Verly in France between 1910-1911 in France (possibly Strasborg). They had 2 sons,
Jean; born August 08, 1914 and
Rene; born February 14, 1920. Both children were born in France, possibly in Alsace/Lorraine.

The family immigrated to America in 1925 and resided in northern Illinois (Winnebago County) southern Wisconsin(Rock County). Edmond Marchal died in April 1965 in Beloit, WI. and is buried in South Beloit, IL.

We do not know the names of Edmond parents, but we know that they were born in France. We also do not know if he had any brothers or sisters.

Jenne Verly, wife of Edmond Marchal brought Jenne's mother Adeline (nee-?) Verly to America with the family.

We believe that Edmond Marchal and family lived in Strasborg in the year's prior emigrating to America in 1925.
