Doris,

in response to your last message:

Ellen Marcoux, my grandmother, had 3 other siblings: Isadore, John and Noah. I take it this Ida had married John. Thus, Gertrude, who was Ellen's daughter, would be Ida's niece. Does this fit?

Now, tracking back from Jean-Marie (or John-Marie)Marcoe and Ellen Snow, who are your husbands great-grandparents:

His great-grandmother Ellen Snow's parents were Isadore Snow and Sophie Cyr. Sophie Cyr's parents were Jean Baptiste Cyr and Marie Louise Giroux.

His great-grandfather Jean Marie Marcoux's parents were Jean-Marie Marcoux Sr. and Mathilde Angelique Trembley. That's as far as I've gotten on the side of the Marcoux's.

Virginia
