My family story has it that my name Marcoe was changed from Marcoux when they came to the states by my great great grandfather (don't know this name) or my great grandfather Isadore Marcoe (1873-1927) who I understand came from Quebec; he was married to Sara Provencher. Their children were Mable, Isadore,John, Leonard (my grandfather),Blanch,& Floyd. My Grandfather Leonard (1896-1969) married Ada Stricker had 5 children Leonard Jr. (this is my father; born 1918; he is now 83), Margaret, Irene Mae, John/Jack and Edna Mae who died as a child. History before my grandparents is unclear. I thought they immigrated from Quebec to Wisconsin, maybe Michigan; this is vague and I am just starting to search. We are from the Northwest and because of the spelling of our name I previously always knew that anyone with the name of Marcoe was my relative. Now, I am not so sure. Not sure of your Joseph but it is sounding similar. Do you have anything on siblings or cousins of Joseph that may show a relationship to my family?
