Hi Virginia,
Our name Marcoe was changed from Marcoux. We migrated from France to Quebec to Wisconsin to Michigan to Washington with stops in Arkansas, I believe and also Eureka, Calif. My great great grandmother is Helen Snow (is also recorded as Ellen); her father is Isadore Snow of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin; she had a daughter Ellen born about 1864. Helen Snow married Jean Marie Marcoux (John Marcoe); Their children were Ellen, John, Noah, and Isadore. My great grandfather, Isadore married Sarah Provencher who settled here in Washington state.
We are surely from the same tree but I thought I knew all my cousins. We have a large Marcoe clan here in Washington state; all descendents of Isadore. I knew nothing of siblings of Isadore who also came here. We grew up here in Tacoma. My sister Marian graduated in 1959 from St. Leo's. I recently have found lots of info. Please contact me. Joanne
