Hi Rhonda,
Good to see you on the board.......I feel I already I know you, your sister Lisa has been a lot of help to me as I try to collect all this data.....I am in the middle of a move,so my genealogy work has slowed down a bit, but I am still working on it.....I left Hawaii a couple of days ago on my way back to the D.C. area.....(Arlington, Va to be exact).....Moved out to Hawaii last November, supposed to have stayed there a year, but after 8 months, it was time to return home... I stopped in San Antonio, Texas to visit with my Mother and family.....Should be home(Arlington) by mid-July...I have been in touch with a lot of our cousins----the Chihuahua Marichalars( you are in this group)....I have communicated with Patrice also, some time ago....I am trying to update my database and the genealogy report that comes from that with all the data your sister and others have provided....But I am going to post it on a "private" website....This is named the "Marichalar Cousins"....I have started to put this together and am not too far away from finishing it.(I was hoping to have it done by now, but work got too busy)..As soon as it is ready, I'll post a notice here and then the Marichalars can contact me for how to log on.....The reason for this is that some of the data I am recieving is starting to get a little too personal and I didn't think it would be wise to post it on a public forum....At any rate, I asked the question some while ago and I got positive responses for it....At this point my thoughts are that only "blood relatives" can have access to it...This would include current spouses/significnat others....
I have quite a bit of new data on your Grandparents family and GreatGrandparents family....As you know by now, the head of this line is Jose Joaquin who married Maria De Jesus Trillo in Chihuahua in 1808...I have recently found Maria de Jesus's parents and a few of her siblings as well..
If you talk to your sister Lisa, tell her I said hi and that I am still working on this....I also think I have found some records in the Archives of Navarra in Spain on Jose Joaquin dating to the late 1700s....
Take care and stay in touch....You can contact me anytime at
