Swiss Family Marke

Not all of Marke family originally spoke English. My great-grandfather, Gottlieb Marke, came to America from Rufenach, Switzerland, in 1867. He and his brother, Samuel Marke, settled in Rockford IA. They bought a brewery there and made quite a living until the Temperance Union ladies burnt the place down. The Marke brothers removed to NB. Samuel then moved on to UT and Gottlieb moved to Moline, IL at the turn of the century. I am looking for any information about Gottlieb's son, Gottlieb who was an American soldier in WW I. The Marke name in Switzerland was spelled: Markey.
