MARKIEWICZ from ROWNE (rovno) Poland 1915

I am researching my family background:
my Father's name was BOLESLAW MARKIEWICZ son of Sota Markiewicz. He was born on the 12th December 1915 and lived in Rovno (Rowne) Poland with his younger brother Henryk and I think there were 2 older sisters.
Boleslaw joined the army around 1933 and served with the 3rd Carpathian Lancers and went on to fight in the second world war as the polish army joined the allied forces in Syria serving with the 2nd polish corps in North Afrika (tobruk) then on to Italy (monte cassino, rome, loreto, bologna, and ancona) my father married an italian girl from porto civitanova in april 1946 and came to england after the war.
All family contact was lost during the war and all his relatives were missing, believed to have perished during the invasion of poland.
In the late 80's through the british red cross we were contacted by his brother Henryk who had been taken prisoner of war by the russians and stayed in a camp in siberia later released. we were re-united but no other family members have been traced.

does anyone out there have information to share
