No idea who Ernest's father was, I can get the neighbors names.I have previously seen references to a Gary MARKLAND in that area on some deed extracts but had thought that Garrah or Garrah's son, Garrah (born abt 1810), had ventured South.It may have been son Garrah but that is only a guess or Gary may have been a grandson of Mathew of Rowan County. He is the same age (per the census) as Parrot who was born in 1803 (son of Nathaniel, son of Mathew).
If it ain't one darn thing after another!
