My grandparents Herman and Pauline Marks (Marcovitz, Markowitz) immigrated from Iassi Romania early in the 20th century. Their first son was named Max; their second son, my father Paul, was born in Key West Florida in 1908. They met and married in Key West probably sometime around 1904.
