Our Marlings were settled in the upper Ohio River Valley on the shores of WVA and Ohio. We can only go as far as William Marling in the 1700's. I have been told that William came in through Belfast, Ireland, but I can find no proof of it. The list of family names seems to flow back and forth between William and Charles to my grandfather,Hiram and on to my father, Joseph William, who went by Bill.

Any connection to those who went to the Ohio/WVA/Pennsylvania area in the US?
Denise
