I am also looking into one of the Malia/Marrie/Marria families in Sharpsville. My great, great grandfather was Stephen Marria, married to (I believe) Mary Ellen Burke (although this name may be incorrect). They lived on 12th Street in Sharpsville by the railroad tracks. The original house is still standing and now occupied by some wonderful people.

The variations in the spellings of the last name have brought me to a dead end. My grandmother is going to be 92 this month and I would like to be able to show her more of her family history.

Stephen Marria had six children: Phillip (who married Ann Weaver), Stephen (who married Myrtle Frazier), Matthew (married to Margaret Mayhew), Thomas (married to Alice), Winifred (who never married) and Margaret (my Great Grandmother, married to Francis S McDowell. They were the second owners of the house on 12th Street in Sharpsville and lived there after "Ma" died.

If you can help me find a connection, I would appreciate it. I would love to present my grandma, Becky McDowell, with her family history beyond what she can remember.

Thank you!

Becky
