John Marron kindly gave me the information that told me that the Marrons I have been researching were from Carrickmacross. The Marron families that I have been interested in lived in Dixon county, Nebraska, and they have a number of descendants living there still.I am not a blood descendant of the Marrons, but there are so many connections in my familyto the Henry Marron (wife: Catherine Breslin) family, that knowing something about this family will help me fill in any number of blanks in my family history sheets. The 1900 Nebraska census(Otter Creek Precinct, Dixon county) lists the following for the Henry Marron family: Catherine, head; John-23; Mary-20: Alice-18; Owen-17; Peter-16; Harry-14; Willis-8; James-2. In the 1885 census (Galena Precinct, Dixon county), there is a Patrick Marron family whose members are Patrick-65; Nancy-64; Thomas-30; Kata-27; and Mary-10.John Marron says that Henry, Owen, and Catherine Marron migrated to the USA around 1850.I would like more information, especially about this Patrick Marron family, since "Kata" may be a reference that will help clear up at least one mystery.I would also, however, like the Henry Marron information, because there are at least five connections to this bunch that would help me out.I could always pass along the information to the Marron descendants living in and around Newcastle, Nebraska. Thanks for any help you can give me.I will be glad to reciprocate with any of my rather meager store of knowledge.Judy Schrader
