Marrows From Suffolk England UK
Hello to all you researchers out there.
I have quite a lot of information on Marrows from the villages of Suffolk England.
At the moment I would like to prove a possiable link to Sir William Marrow Lord Mayor Of London in 1455.
Would any of you have any Marrow connected to Long Melford or the famous Clopton(e)family.
Williams Daughter is burried there after she died in childbirth at just 20 years of age she had married into the clopton family who have links to Kings and Queens of Europe
I have some information from the church there dating back to around 1400 0r 1500s Including brass rubbings from a coat of arms showing three maidens heads from the Marrow Family.
We also have a road named after the family called Marrows Corner and at one time a Windmill but sadly long gone now.
Also would anyone have a John Marrow 1717 - 1811 married in 1735 Margaret Underwood who died in 1763. John also took a second wife (to make things extra complicated on my tree) Alice Webb died 1774.
Any information please
Thanks for looking would love to here from anyone also interested in the Marrow History
Kind regards
Julie
