what is KRRNY?

I am researching John Edason Marselas (name spelling varries)

born in Maryland....Family tradition is that the Marselas family were French Huguenots living in Canada...and came to Maryland with the French expulsion. On coming to Maryland, they changed their name to Marselas.

They may have had a similar name in Canada...and just changed the spelling-

I think that Edason was a maiden name.
