Coat of Arms for Pieter Marselis/Marsalis

The reproduction of the coat-armor presented to Pieter van Marselis in Denmark in 1643 has been a collaborative effort between William Carroll Marsalis and Sharon Marsalis (Mrs. Michael Marsalis). Beginning with a tiny indistinct black and white print of the full coat of arms that Carroll found in Rietstap's Coat-Armor of the Netherlands Nobility, p.364 many years ago while researching family history, Sharon then translated the full description (blazoning) from Rietstap's Armorial General Dictionnaire des Termes du Blason, Tome 2. Much research followed in order to be as accurate and authenic as possible to the terms of heraldry. The final print is 11x14 and is accompanied by a full explanation.. If you would like one please email me. There will be a $12.00 price to cover mailing and copying costs. If you can trace your lineage back to Peter H. Marsalis, died Amite, MS and related lines then this is your true coat of arms.
