In the "for what it's worth" department, my immigrant ancestor, Thomas Marshall arrived in Boston, Mass. aboard the ship Griffin on Sept. 18, 1634.He was a widower, accompanied by one or more young children, one being my ancestor Samuel Marshall.According to an old manuscript written by Rev Edward Chauncy Marshall, an Episcopal Clergyman in New York City in the 1840's, Thomas was of the Tidd St. Mary's Marshalls, Licolnshire. Some have researched Thomas' ancestors on Ancestry.com .
