My g.grandmother Amelia Marshfield (Mershfield)is listed in the 1881 census as a domestic servant for a 'bath proprietor' at Pier Approach The Baths, Christchurch, Hampshire. I understand these would have been public baths but can anyone tell me if there were baths at Christchurch or should it read 'Pier Approach, Bournemouth'?
