'Benjamin Marsland His Booke 1699'
In doingresearch on William Perkins (16th-century English Calvinist) i was looking at an old edition of his work which had scribbled in it, on various pages, 'Benjamin Marsland His Booke 1699'. Interestingly, in yet another edition of Perkins, this same Benjamin Marsland, at a riper age (he had also already marked the book as his in 1697/1699), had written the births of his children, and the deaths of several of them. Stupidly i haven't made notes of it, but i remember the names Mica Marslander, Mary Marslander and Hannah (also written as Hanneh) Marslander, all approx. born between 1715-1725.If this sounds like somebody from your geneological tree, feel free to let me know and i will go back to the university library and make notes/copies of it for you.
oh, if i am not mistaken, his father is Thomas Marslander - this man has written notes dating ca 1670 in one of the editions.
I hope this can be of help to somebody!
