Herman Martin- Quebec
Posted by: SIENNA Date: November 08, 2000 at 15:09:51

Researching Martin, Therrien, Charest and Patenuade families. My grandfather was Cyril Martin b 10-24-1897 d 6-7-1965 married to Ida May Therrien b1900 d
4-2-2000. They both were from St Cyrille, Quebec, Canada. That is stated on their death certificates and also what I have heard from my aunts. Grandfather
Cyril(also found as Cyrille) Martin was the son of Herman Martin and Marie Patenaude. Grandmother Ida Therrien parents were Henry Wilfrid Therrien and Elvina
Charest. Cyril and Ida resided in Norwich, Connecticut. I have recieved Cyrils citizenship papers and it states his nationality as British. This is very confusing to me
because I thought he was born in St Cyril, Quebec. Idas mother died when Ida was a small child in Canada. Her father Henry Wilfrid Therrien married at least 2
more times after that. I don't know his other spouses names. If anyone out there has families with the same last names that were in the areas listed, I would love to
hear from you. Or if you think you can direct me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Cyril and Ida have a very big family, and we all are curious.
Thank you. Looking forward to any responses. SIENNA
