Hi,
I am researching my mother's side of the family. My grandmother had 2 brothers, one named Lucas Anthony Martinez Jr. (born around 1907 or 1908). The other was named Benjamin Martinez (est. birth around 1906).

Their father was Lucas Anthony Martinez Sr., born around 1885. Lucas Sr.'s mother was Candelaria Valenzuela, according to Lucas' death record, but she might have had another surname "Cota"-just a hunch based on a census record. She married Simon Berthold and became Candelaria Berthold (Ventura 1900 census).

According to the 1900 census, Lucas Anthony Martinez Sr.'s father was born in New Mexico. I don't know his name or have any further information.

Might you be related?
