There are two postings about families Martini from Germany, except mine, both from Trier. i have no idea where my Martini family came from before hauptmann Gustav Wilhelm Martini (1808-1857) (my granmothers grandfather). He was a captain(hauptmann) in 2 res Garde Artilleriregiment at least unde a war 1848-49. he died early when his only daughter Anna Elisabeth Martini (1852-1933) was 5 years old and his wife Thekla (born Erbrecht) died 2 years later 1859. Anna Martini (my grandmothers mother) was raised by her uncle Adolf Erbrecht and his wife Agnes (born Wachtmeister) at rittergut Bülow close to Schwerin in Mecklenburg (and maybe later on in Schönefeldt (where the airport to Berlin is situated now). Gustavs father was also called Gustav Martini (born around 1770) and he should have been a Pastor (an evangelical protestant priest) in maybe a Pomeranian village he was married to Frederike (friederiche?) Perle (born 1785). I have no more information about them (I have searched for 1 1/2 year by now) except i have portraits; individual drawings of the family with names and these facts written down) Both the Martini family, the Erbrecht, perle and Degener family are mysteries to me where they came from, why they had rittergut 8so called knight manor houses) married to noble families like the Baronie Wachmeister and von Puttkamer etc. I just want to know more about them and where they had their roots and if their were other sibblings to hauptmann Gustav etc. My grandmother told many stories from Berlin, Pommern and mecklenburg. But she probably had no idea about her mothers fathers family either or the Erbrechts before her grandmothers father Christian August Erbrecht´s apperance as a rittergutsbesitzer at gut Bülow (maybe around 1816). That is why I take every oportunity to find relatives and ancestors related to my grandmothers family, who may know something more.

S.Y. Steve
