Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My great-grandfather was Asmus Marxen. He was born in Schleswig in approximately 1869. He married Mary Nohrn, also from Schleswig. They came to Nebraska in 1880 and lived with his brother. All I have on that is a first initial "N". They also lived in Iowa before settling on the Oregon coast. I am also looking for further information. Don't know if this is a connection or not.
