Well, hello John!
Isn't this technology great for connecting people? I recently received a copy of James Llewellyn and Rosetta Mason Carr's marriage license from Elsie who got it when visiting other relatives in PA. On it was a sticky note from them who said that Rosetta's mother was 100% Indian though I know nothing more of that line. I also found a copy of Clara's and Louis' marriage license up in a little town clerk's office in Barton, NY. They were married in Waverly, NY. Found this by accident while hunting for Clara's brother John Mason Carr's marriage license. John M. Carr and his wife Caroline Sibley were my husband's grandparents. Caroline recently passed away in 1999 at 100+ years old.
At any rate, I can tell you that your grandma Clara was a school teacher, something I learned by reading their marriage license. I also have a copy of Rosetta's obit. I have lots of other CARR stuff, photos, documents etc. that I am in the process of scanning in. A cousin of my husband is going to start working on Rosetta's line as soon as I forward all the scanned stuff to get her started. Just working on the CARRs takes a LOT of time. I also have a little booklet on the CARRs that I've done that still needs some revisions, additions etc. and then I'm going to put it all on CD to share with the cousins. I will put you on the list. Are you running Windows 98? In return, do you have much to add on the Chaffee line? I have some info from Elsie but it still needs cleaning up.
Send me your snail-mail address via E-mail so I won't forget to send you that CD when it's all done. I have a LOT of old, unidentified photos from James Llewellyn's album and these are already scanned in.
Stay in touch!
